Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to drive significant process improvements and operational efficiencies across their global operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and designing innovative solutions to optimize production, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and statistical analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing complex manufacturing and business processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Developing and implementing lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma methodologies, to streamline operations. Designing and optimizing plant layouts, workflows, and material handling systems. Utilizing simulation software and data analysis tools to model and predict process performance. Leading cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvement projects. Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring operational efficiency. Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for new processes. Conducting root cause analysis for quality issues and production delays. Evaluating new technologies and automation opportunities to enhance productivity. Collaborating with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree being a strong asset. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization and lean manufacturing, is required. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing significant improvement projects is essential. Expertise in Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred) and other continuous improvement methodologies is critical. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical modeling skills are necessary. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively influence stakeholders and manage project teams. Experience with CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) is highly desirable. This role demands a self-motivated individual capable of working autonomously in a remote environment, driving change, and delivering tangible results.
