Our client, a prestigious global investment bank, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their remote-based Banking & Finance team. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative models for risk management, pricing, trading strategies, and portfolio optimization. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating complex mathematical models, using advanced statistical and programming techniques. This includes building models for derivatives pricing, credit risk assessment, market risk analysis, and algorithmic trading. Collaboration with traders, portfolio managers, risk managers, and IT professionals is essential to ensure the effective deployment and utilization of these models. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets, econometrics, stochastic calculus, and numerical methods. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R, and experience with large datasets and high-performance computing environments are critical. You must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and managing complex projects in a remote setting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to articulate complex model results and assumptions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in quantitative finance. Experience with machine learning techniques applied to finance is a strong plus.
