Support the development of the current biological product portfolio, including updating and developing new test procedures, expanding the product portfolio, and designing new manufacturing processes.
Support new biologic product transfer, including updating and improving manufacturing processes, tissue and solution testing, and gaining a general understanding of new processes.
Conduct research into new implantable biological products that fit the portfolio, including literature review, bench studies, and early product development.
Design and validate manufacturing steps for the processing of biologic tissue.
Design and perform analytical testing of biologic materials across multiple specialty disciplines in biologic medical device development, including analytical chemistry, bioanalysis, process engineering, and materials science.
Apply understanding of experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
Perform routine testing on biological tissue, including chemical and biological assays, histology, and mechanical testing.
Comfortable working with human and animal tissue.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with biomaterials used in regenerative medicine.
