Job Description

Research Data Analyst the Research Data Analyst will support a research program of principal investigators, staff, and students with statistical analyses, preliminary data for grant submission, and research manuscripts. Duties will involve developing data-processing pipelines primarily using R and SAS, conducting statistical analyses, and supporting the dissemination of coding products as well as research findings.

Functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing descriptive statistics, quantile regression, causal mediation, marginal structural modeling, and Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulations of cardiovascular disease and dementia-relevant population interventions.
  • Implement reproducible data-processing pipelines from data management to robustness checks to sensitivity analyses using R and SAS.
  • Maintain disparate sources of data, including cohorts, administrative claims, and electronic health records; clean large datasets for analytic use; harmonize multi-source data with matching-based methods for analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts, conference presentations, and grants by drafting methods sections, formatting result tables and figures, and preparing supplemental method and result sections.
  • Document best practices for reproducible data preparation, manipulation, and statistical analysis for new lab members and students.

Required Skills

A Masters degree is required. 3-5 years of relevant experience Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
