Job Description The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on developing algorithms to safeguard the security of foundation models in real-world application. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team in the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University.
- To process and handle publicly available sequence/visual datasets.
- To develop and design approaches for building trustworthy foundation models.
- To perform large-scale empirical evaluation on the designed approaches.
- To write research reports and papers on the obtained models and results.
- To work with other team members hired for the same project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning.
- Past research experience on training foundation/agentic models and hardening their security preferred.
- Proven track record and professional experience in large language models (LLMs) and multimodal LLMs.
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on machine learning and foundation models.
- Excellent working knowledge of trustworthy foundation models.
- Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions.
- Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
- Excellent publication track records. Publications at top-tier AI/ML venues will be advantageous.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
