Research Engineer for Search/IR

A company is looking for a Research Engineer focused on Search / IR.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain indexing infrastructure for search systems at scale

Own the entire pipeline from data ingestion to query serving

Develop ranking models and improve query understanding for enhanced product quality

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience building large-scale search / information retrieval systems

Hands-on experience with ranking systems and relevance scoring

Ability to manage the full search stack, including ingestion, indexing, and serving

Experience in maintaining freshness, deduplication, and incremental indexing

Self-directed with a track record of designing and shipping experiments
