Join Meta's dynamic Meta Recommendation Systems (MRS) AI Algorithm Team as a Research Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in building our innovative User Intelligence Engine. This unified platform will redefine user understanding by integrating state-of-the-art technologies in user modeling and multi-architecture systems. Collaborate with experts in Generative AI and ranking methodologies to create personalized and context-aware experiences across Meta's ecosystem.
As a key member of our rapidly expanding machine learning team, you'll help shape cutting-edge user understanding models and drive the evolution of Meta's Recommendation Systems, delivering intuitive and adaptive personalization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement large-scale model architectures, harnessing the power of model scaling and transfer learning.
- Focus on training scalability and signal scaling to enhance model efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Utilize innovative sequence learning techniques to advance recommender systems and machine learning.
- Design generative modeling solutions to support data augmentation efforts.
- Develop and deploy robust machine learning pipelines.
- Tackle data-related challenges through innovative solutions, utilizing expertise in semi/self-supervised learning, generative methods, debiasing, domain adaptation, continual learning, data augmentation, cold-start strategies, and large language models.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (must be completed prior to joining Meta).
- Research experience in machine learning, deep learning, recommender systems, or natural language processing.
- Proficiency in Python programming and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to enhance workflows and achieve measurable impacts.
- Experience in implementing responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Ongoing skill development in AI, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- PhD in AI, computer science, data science, or similar fields.
- First-author publications in leading AI conferences.
- Practical experience with generative AI, large language models, or recommender systems.
- Proven track record in developing large-scale machine learning models from inception to business impact.
Public Compensation:
$58.65/hour to $181,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
