Research Engineer, Preparedness, is a full-time position focused on developing and refining evaluations for frontier AI capabilities and risks, requiring technical expertise in machine learning and engineering. Key Responsibilities Build and continuously refine evaluations for multimodal and agentic frontier AI models Develop robust, reusable evaluation pipelines that scale across multiple model lines and product areas Produce auditable technical artifacts, including evaluation reports and model cards, with high reliability and speed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, research, or a related technical role Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks Experience in identifying, designing, and completing medium to large technical features independently Proven experience in software engineering practices, including version control and testing
