Position: Research Engineer , Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine
Responsibilities
- Maintain infrastructure such as Active Directory, NAS, Network and Security appliances.
- Assist in the management of on-prem Windows and Linux based servers, workstations, HPC and end-user devices
- Administration and orchestration of on prem and AWS resources to support operations and projects.
- Support end-user devices with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network related issues.
- Assist in the review and implementation of enhancements to existing Corporate and Scientific IT infrastructure to meet business outcomes.
- Assist in managing IT inventory and plan for IT infrastructure obsolescence.
- Assist to streamline, optimize and automate existing IT operating processes
- Assist in procurement process related to the above mentioned
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications & Field Of Study
- Degree or Diploma in IT and/or Cybersecurity - related discipline.
- Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Cisco/Fortinet)
Work Experiences & Skillsets
- At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience in administering on premise and/or cloud-based IT infrastructure and services.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, configuration and management of network and security appliances.
- Proven hands-on experience with Windows and Linux based systems.
- Proven hands-on experience with one or more deployment automation / orchestration tools, eg:
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Deployment Toolkit, Power Automate, Powershell, Bash, Python, Ansible, CFEngine, etc
- Demonstrate good understanding of the aforementioned
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command of written and spoken language.
