Job Details

We are undertaking an inspiring project to develop a biodegradable, non-woven wound dressing using advanced electrospinning technology. This innovative nanofiber dressing aims to enhance wound healing efficiency, manage wound moisture more effectively, and reduce environmental impact by replacing the non-biodegradable materials in traditional wound care products. As a research scientist, you will play an important role in the R&D development process, which encompasses electrospinning matrix formulations, process control of the nanofiber electrospinning, and analyzing the properties of outcome products.

Expected Deliverables / Key Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments to formulate biodegradable polymers and integrate functional additives into the nanofiber matrix.

• Adjust the electrospinning process using DoE statistics to optimize the properties of the electrospun fibers, including porosity, moisture permeability, and biodegradability.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate the dressing's performance in terms of wound healing efficacy, infection prevention, and environmental impact.

• Document all experimental data and contribute to scientific reports and presentations.
