As a Research Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing complex molecular biology experiments, developing and optimizing assays, analyzing experimental data, and interpreting results. You will be responsible for troubleshooting experimental challenges, documenting findings meticulously in lab notebooks, and contributing to scientific publications and presentations. This role requires a deep understanding of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA isolation, cloning, gene editing, and cell culture. You will also be involved in the evaluation of new technologies and methodologies to advance research programs.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related life science discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years of postdoctoral or industry research experience. A strong publication record and proven expertise in experimental design and data analysis are essential. Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and dissemination of research findings.
