Researcher (Social Cohesion Research Programme) The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a Graduate School of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is a leading research-intensive and teaching institution on security research in the Asia-Pacific region. The person will assist the Social Cohesion Research Programme with research and administrative duties. The work will cover areas such as how the social and built environment shapes the practice of multiculturalism and inclusion, the various forms of religious digitisation, and the detection of online trends. The research involves conducting in-depth literature reviews on topics such as social cohesion, religiosity, ethnicity, and nationalism, as well as carrying out multivariate analyses on cross-national data to assess social cohesion patterns. Administrative responsibilities include supporting strategic events and meetings, managing relevant databases, and providing key insights to aid decision-making and facilitate effective communication. The person should have a PhD/Master/Degree in social sciences/data analytics and have an appreciation of the cultural dynamics in Singapore and the region. He/she needs to be comfortable with report writing and statistical analyses, and possesses a basic understanding of multivariate statistics, including multiple regressions, factor analysis, and statistical tabulations on Excel and charts.
