Job Summary:

The Revenue Analyst will be a critical member of our Finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, reporting, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of IFRS 15, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and internal controls related to revenue. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of revenue figures, contribute to strategic financial planning, and support the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Management & Recognition:

Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with IFRS 15, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue streams.

Collaborate closely with client-servicing team members to validate revenue recognition criteria, understand service delivery milestones, and ensure proper revenue cut-off.

Prepare and maintain the IFRS 15 checklist, meticulously identifying the appropriate revenue recognition method for diverse revenue streams and client service scopes.

Manage and administer the contract summary schedule, ensuring all contractual terms impacting revenue are accurately captured and monitored.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Drive the periodical financial reporting process for revenue, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strict adherence to reporting deadlines.

Provide insightful monthly reporting and analysis on variances in billing, accrued revenue, and deferred revenue, explaining key drivers and trends.

Actively participate in the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes for the revenue section, providing data-driven insights and projections.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

Lead the development, documentation, and ongoing review of SOX requirements specifically related to revenue, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance.

Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks associated with revenue, including ensuring adherence to client acceptance procedures, assign the credit limit, contract checklists, and revenue recognition policies.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to revenue.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

CPA or CA certification is highly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in revenue analysis and management, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Experience in external audit is recommended.

Demonstrated expertise and practical application of IFRS 15.

Experience with SOX compliance is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Maconomy, SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.

Good knowledge of the UAE Corporate Tax Law, VAT Law, and application of non-resident withholding tax is an added advantage.
