Job Position Summary

Crescend Technologies is seeking an experienced RF Engineering Director to join its leadership team and oversee the engineering department. This role will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and operational oversight to ensure the successful development and execution of RF engineering initiatives. This position is 100% on-site at our office located in Glendale Heights, Illinois.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and guides engineer professionals engaged in product development.
  • Oversees the development of Crescend's project plans and ensures that the company development process is kept up to date and executed with a high level of compliance.
  • Collaborates with customers and Crescend’s Sales & Marketing team to identify, assess and implement opportunities to expand the capabilities of existing products and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensures implementation of formal processes to support product development and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensures support to Operations with designs, methods, and procedures to improve manufacturing process.
  • Ensures support to Sales with technical issues and field customer technical product questions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-power RF power amplifier design.
  • Excellent operational and project management skills.
  • Convey excellent oral and written communication.
  • Highly proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Highly proficient team-building skills.
  • Highly proficient in influencing outcomes of others without a direct reporting relationship, solid leadership skills.
  • Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate work in area of responsibility to ensure efficient, timely and cost-effective projects.
  • Analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Requirements Preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP software, EPICOR preferred.

Education and or Work Experience

Completion of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering; or related field and 10+ years’ experience in engineering, RF product development & management (including 5 years of experience in people management); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Work is done in both an office and lab environment. Typically engages in the following movements: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and writing and repetitive motions. Exerts up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Minimum travel may be required.

Hiring Range for this position is: $140,000 - $200,000 USD

Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
