The RGO Associate is an execution-focused position at the intersection of data analysis, reporting, and investment support. You’ll partner with internal teams and portfolio companies to collect, validate, and translate data into insights used for investor reporting and operational decision-making.
This role sits within a private equity platform and focuses on how data, reporting, and governance drive performance across portfolio companies.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working with data, building structure, and delivering accurate, high-quality output, with exposure to portfolio operations within a private equity environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to investor and due diligence data requests (DDQs)
- Support annual reporting processes, including data collection, validation, and analysis
- Track and monitor KPIs across portfolio companies, ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and benchmarking tools
- Partner with internal investment teams to support data-driven decision-making
- Work directly with portfolio company teams to gather and validate information
- Assist with regulatory and investor-facing reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools, and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field
- 1–3 years of experience in a data-driven or analytical role
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with structured datasets
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, or KPI tracking
- Exposure to tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
