Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Risk Analyst specializing in CCR, Repo, and Securities. The position offers an exciting opportunity to support a major project involving the onboarding of a new system for large product transactions, with a focus on governance, control, and risk mitigation. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance, offering a dynamic environment for professional growth.

Pay rate range (CAD): $56.20/hr - $67.43/hr

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the preparation and review of daily, monthly, and quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL reports, including management and counterparty credit limit monitoring reports
  • Develop expertise in risk and mapping responsibilities, focusing on large exposures reporting and regulatory compliance
  • Research and validate data mappings related to business, client, product, and legal entities to ensure accurate reporting
  • Implement infrastructure changes supporting updated policies, products, or processes
  • Analyze, report, and monitor risk exposures, escalating issues as needed to maintain internal standards
  • Document and track late or missing reports, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Drive efficiency improvement projects to enhance operational support and risk management processes
  • Maintain and review internal controls, ensuring compliance with governance standards
  • Collaborate closely with front office traders, Credit Risk Management, Global Counterparty Credit, audit, technology teams, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis of risk exposures, transactions, and metrics as requested by management
  • Stay informed on the principles of credit risk management across various product types, including financial modeling issues

Desired Skill-Set

  • Expertise in Securities Financing Transactions, including Repo, Reverse Repo, Triparty Repo, Securities Lending, and Borrowing
  • Strong understanding of the role of banks and broker-dealers in the SFT space and supporting business lines
  • Experience working within US/Canadian banking environments, with knowledge of OSFI and SSCL standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and adaptability

Nice to Have

  • CFA or FRM certification
  • Prior risk management experience in financial institutions
  • Python and SQL proficiency for data analysis and requirements gathering
