Risk Analyst – Expert (Credit Risk Modeling)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)
Duration: 12-month contract (extension possible)
Rate: $50–$63/hr INC

Our client is seeking a Risk Analyst to support model development and analytics within Wholesale Credit Risk. This role will focus on building, monitoring, and deploying predictive models to support Small Business, Commercial Banking, and Capital Markets portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and deploy credit risk models (ML/AI, credit scoring, surveillance)
- Source, extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify borrower behavior patterns
- Perform feature engineering and support automation of modeling frameworks
- Partner with stakeholders across adjudication and business lines throughout model lifecycle
- Prepare model documentation, reporting, and presentations
- Address findings from model validation, audit, and ongoing monitoring
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk modeling or analytics
- Strong Python programming skills for model development and automation
- Experience with large datasets and data processing (SQL, Hadoop, PySpark, S3)
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Experience with credit risk models and time series analysis
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., GitHub) and UNIX environments
Nice-to-Have:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field
- Experience with IFRS9, stress testing, or capital modeling
- Knowledge of GenAI use cases in lending
- Experience with R, Java, or SAS
Additional Details:
- Hybrid: 3–4 days onsite at 200 Bay St, Toronto
- 37.5 hours/week, no overtime expected
- 1–2 in-person interviews (1–1.5 hours total)
