Role Summary
Giggle Finance is seeking a Risk & Analytics Associate based in Puerto Rico (but remote) to support the Risk team in managing data, research, and operational processes that power our credit decisioning and portfolio management systems.
This role sits at the intersection of data, risk, and “fintech” strategy. The position is designed for someone early in their career who is highly organized, intellectually curious, and interested in developing deeper skills in financial analysis, data analytics, and credit risk modeling.
The associate will work directly with the Chief Risk Officer and the broader Risk team to help maintain operational structure around projects, track analytical initiatives, and support the research and analysis that drives underwriting strategy.
This position blends project coordination, administrative duties, executive support, and . We’re searching for someone who’s proactive, able to track down missing details, and can spot potential project issues before they happen.

Key Responsibilities
- Risk Team Operations: Maintain organization of Risk team initiatives, including tracking projects, research efforts, and analytical workstreams. Manage and maintain Jira tickets and task tracking to ensure projects remain organized and visible. Attend Risk meetings to capture action items and ensure follow‑through on team initiatives.
- Research & Analysis Support: Assist the team in organizing datasets, research outputs, and analytical documentation. Support investigation of new risk attributes and financial indicators used in credit decisioning. Help synthesize findings from research efforts into structured summaries and documentation.
- Cross‑Team Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the Risk team and internal partners (Engineering, Product, Data). Track requests that require input from other teams and ensure information flows efficiently. Help maintain alignment between analytical work and operational implementation.
- Analytical Development: Work alongside analysts and data scientists to understand how credit models and rules are built. Support testing and validation of new underwriting attributes or decision logic. Gradually develop deeper analytical capabilities depending on skillset and interest.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or currently completing one) in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Project Coordination: Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple items simultaneously
- Professional Assertiveness: Ability to comfortably communicate with high level stakeholders and other similar roles to gain necessary information.
- Information Synthesis: The ability to listen to technical discussions and extract the core "next steps" and action items.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with a focus on clarity and professional etiquette.
- Organizational Systems: A natural tendency toward order and the ability to manage complex schedules or task lists.

- Technical Tools: Previous experience with Jira or similar project management software is a significant advantage. General knowledge of programming languages, APIs, and other similar items.
