They are seeking a Risk, Investigations & Controls Program Manager to support sensitive business reviews, risk monitoring, operational assessments, and internal control initiatives within a large, complex organization. This role will split time between investigative work and broader control-related initiatives, helping the business identify risks, strengthen processes, and improve governance.
The ideal candidate brings experience in investigations, internal audit, forensic review, data analytics, and stakeholder management. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can manage sensitive matters, develop clear findings, and partner with business leaders to drive practical remediation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead reviews related to sensitive business matters, policy concerns, potential control issues, and operational risk events.
- Develop review plans, analyze documentation, conduct interviews as needed, evaluate evidence, and prepare clear written findings.
- Design and execute operational assessments, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Identify control gaps, process risks, and opportunities to improve governance, efficiency, and compliance.
- Build & maintain analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor trends, anomalies, & key risk indicators.
- Use data analytics and technology-enabled tools to improve monitoring, reporting, and control effectiveness.
- Partner with business leaders to provide advisory guidance on risks & controls for initiatives & process changes.
- Track remediation plans and ensure timely closure of review-related findings.
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and coordinating follow-up.
- Assist with special projects, ad hoc reviews, and targeted risk assessments as business needs arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in investigations, internal audit, external audit, forensic analysis, finance, compliance, controls, or related areas.
- Professional certification required or strongly preferred, such as CFE, CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Experience leading sensitive reviews, forensic analyses, operational assessments, or risk-based control reviews.
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures, internal controls, documentation standards, and risk mitigation practices.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; experience with dashboarding or reporting tools preferred.
- Experience using analytics, automation, or technology-enabled monitoring tools to improve investigations, monitoring, or audit processes preferred.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing reports for management, compliance, legal, or business stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Experience in complex, multi-location, high-volume, or operationally intensive environments preferred.
