DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. The Compliance Testing – Central Services team is responsible for high-quality governance and oversight for central elements of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Monitoring and Testing (M&T) program in alignment with methodologies, regulatory expectations, and internal standards. Further, the Compliance Testing – Central Services team is responsible for periodic reporting to senior compliance executives on elements of the RCM M&T program including annual plan status, coverage of laws, rules and regulations (LRRs) & controls and operational metrics. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Annual Coverage Planning & Oversight Coordination 

  • Support the coordination and tracking of the annual M&T plan 
  • Work with oversight functions and stakeholders to gather, review, and consolidate plan status updates
  • Track plan progress, updates, and change requests throughout the year. 
  • Ensure alignment of change requests to program standards and documented procedures. 
  • Maintain strong documentation practices supporting planning governance. 

Data Integrity & Reporting Governance 

  • Assist in the aggregation, validation, and quality review of reporting data. 
  • Identify and escalate data inconsistencies or integrity concerns. 
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of reporting governance and documentation standards. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge transfer within the team. 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint).

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
  • Carry out work with limited complexity, generally requiring a short-term focus.
  • Deliver assigned tasks with direction from management.
  • Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing complex or technical data, using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
  • Ability to think creatively and leverage artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
