Your new role
- Conduct thorough due diligence on client profiles, including financial backgrounds, transaction patterns, and geopolitical risks to evaluate overall client suitability.
- Monitor ongoing client activities, act as a first line defence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance and legal, to recommend risk mitigation strategies, such as enhanced monitoring or transaction limits.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management
- Stay updated on evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/KYC requirements) and implement changes to client onboarding and review processes.
- Support ad-hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ years of experience in risk analysis, with private banking or wealth management experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Python and Copilot
- Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of HKMA, SFC and MAS regulatory
