The Fraud Risk team at American Express is an innovative environment fostering collaboration aimed at enhancing customer experience while effectively combating fraud. This critical and dynamic position focuses on assessing first-party and victim fraud risk through the design of effective servicing strategies aimed at enhancing customer experience and reducing enterprise risk exposure. This role requires collaboration with various enterprise partners, including Global Servicing, EDMX, Enterprise Digital, and Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop victim fraud and first-party fraud claims management strategies.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data, applying statistical, machine learning, or business intelligence techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal credit and fraud risk teams and business partners to ideate and implement solutions and strategies.
  • Utilize GenAI models to craft efficient strategies for reducing first-party fraud risk.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in manipulating and extracting data from both large and small datasets; proficiency with data processing tools and languages such as SQL, SAS, and Hive.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and effective communication in cross-functional settings.
  • Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques preferred (e.g., GBM, GPT).
  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Engineering, or related advanced quantitative fields is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics is preferred.

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually, plus bonuses and benefits. This range reflects the expected salary for this role, considering factors such as location and experience.
