Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Risk Management Policy Writer – Operational Risk. This position involves supporting the remediation and development of Operational Risk Policy documents, ensuring alignment with current banking standards and frameworks. It offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive banking experience and contribute to strengthening risk management practices within a leading financial institution.

Pay rate range (CAD): $61.59/hr – $73.91/hr

Responsibilities

• Support the remediation and writing of Operational Risk Policy documentation
• Leverage existing policy documents, mapping them to current organizational expectations
• Develop new policy documents from scratch on operational risk management topics
• Elevate risk management framework policies to meet updated standards
• Review, revise, and ensure policy compliance across enterprise-wide audiences

Desired Skill-Set

• 8+ years of experience in financial services or banking
• Proven ability to write comprehensive risk management policy documents
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management principles
• Professional-level knowledge of bank risk management frameworks and practices
• Ability to review and revise documents at policy, standard, and procedure levels for a banking organization
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with policy remediation and uplift projects
• Familiarity with the latest risk management standards and frameworks
• Prior experience working in a large banking environment
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations and compliance requirements
