Our
Co-op/Intern Programming
is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:
Wealth Credit and Market Risk Management works in partnership with various Wealth businesses to mitigate credit and market risks by assessing the exposures within our portfolio and identifying and resolving risk exposure for the organization. The department is responsible for the monitoring and compliance of credit risk management policies, including discretionary loan limits, and oversees TD Wealth’s market/credit risk portfolio across Canada and the US.
The team is divided into three groups:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides executives with loan recommendations by breaking down financial data into clear analytical insights; challenges assumptions and validates conclusions to identify underlying drivers of risk.
Stays on top of macro trends, sector dynamics, and market news, helping translate stock movements into risk implications.
Proactively investigates emerging issues and challenges the status quo; asks the right questions and investigate root causes to strengthen risk assessments, stress tests, and recommendations.

Overview of Work Provided
The Co
op student will support the
Wealth Credit and Market Risk Management (WCMRM)
team, which partners closely with TD Wealth businesses to assess, monitor, and mitigate credit and market
risk exposures across the portfolio. The role will provide hands
on exposure to risk management practices, regulatory monitoring, and analytical reporting that support effective oversight of TD Wealth’s credit and market risk profile in Canada and the United States.
Key Projects
The Co
op student will contribute to several core initiatives, including:
hoc projects and presentation materials for senior leadership, including the VP, Wealth Credit and Market Risk Management.
