Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global
e-commerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse
set of businesses in fourteen countries, including Retail, third
party marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, web services for
developers.
As a member of the China
Compliance Operation team, we are responsible for the
classification of ASINs in our catalog that can be safely stored in
the Fulfilment Center’s and shipped to customers while safely
meeting all local laws and regulations. We also prevent the sale of
items that either Amazon chooses not to sell or are prohibited by
law or regulations. In the global trade and direct import areas we
are accountable for the import tariff classification and ensure
imported products have had proper testing for safety and
operability.
The team you will work with
ensures that Amazon Private Brand products have been tested in
certified laboratories and that you will comply with the legal
requirements of the target selling marketplace, and conduct
post‑launch audit of Private Brand Products following product
compliance requirements.
Key job
responsibilities
Support the Climate Pledge
Friendly (CPF) program by enabling ASINs with CPF badges to
encourage customer purchase of sustainable and certified products
in US and EU regions
Work with sustainability
certifications including FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), GOTS,
Textile Exchange standards, USDA Organic, and other third‑party
certification
Review and verify
vendor‑provided sustainability documentation and certificates to
ensure compliance with certification
requirements
Coordinate with suppliers to
obtain FSC Chain of Custody certifications and other sustainability
credentials
Conduct compliance document
reviews in internal systems (Bascule, CAYMAN) to validate
certification authenticity
Partner with
vendors to collect quality documents, certifications, and evidence
letters required for sustainability
claims
Verify certification scopes match
product types using public certification dashboards and
databases
Escalate certification discrepancies
and compliance issues following established
procedures
Basic
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or
equivalent, or experience in an industry
role
5+ years of relevant
experience
Strong planning, organizational,
and interpersonal skills
Strong multi‑tasking
ability and experience with meeting multiple
deadlines
Ability to work in a fast‑paced
environment with a high degree of
ambiguity
Excellent English communication
skills (both verbal and written) with vendor, client, or
customer‑facing experience
Preferred
Qualifications
Understanding of sustainability
domains including carbon footprint, waste reduction, responsible
sourcing, and circular economy
principles
Familiarity with sustainability
frameworks such as GHG Protocol, ESG reporting, or similar
standards
Ability to collect and analyze data
in a self‑service fashion
Proficiency with
internal tools and systems for compliance tracking and
documentation
