Position Summary

The Manufacturing Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness through advanced automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics, motion control).

Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce downtime.

Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and production ramp-up.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve equipment and control system issues.

Manage system integration, including sensors, actuators, vision systems, and robotics.

Evaluate and recommend new automation technologies to improve plant performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or industrial controls.

Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).

Experience with robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.) preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
