Job Description

Software Engineer

RPA & Document Processing

Austin, TX

Onsite

3 month contract

iSphere is looking for a Software Engineer who can take automation beyond simple tasks and turn it into something the business can actually use. This role is centered around RPA and document processing, focused on handling large, complex data sets and turning them into structured, usable outputs.

You'll be working with robotics tools, document ingestion frameworks, and cloud technologies to automate workflows and improve how information is processed and accessed.

Must haves

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with RPA development, including at least 4 years with Blue Prism
  • Experience building both attended and unattended bots interacting with web-based systems
  • Experience integrating RPA solutions with APIs, REST services, and SQL databases
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including document parsing and analysis
  • Experience developing reports or outputs based on processed data
  • Experience building analytics from structured and unstructured data

Nice to have

  • Experience with Azure infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud Flows)
  • Proficiency in Java
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL
  • Experience with Azure AI or Cognitive Search
  • Blue Prism certification
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer certification

What the work looks like

You'll be designing and building automation solutions that process large, multi-hundred-page documents and convert them into structured, searchable, and actionable data. That includes working with PDFs, ingestion frameworks, and automation tools to extract, organize, and enable access to information.

You'll build and maintain RPA bots, integrate them with enterprise systems, and ensure they run reliably in production. You'll also support search enablement and analytics, helping teams find and use the data more effectively.

This role includes collaboration across teams in a fast-paced Agile environment, working through design, development, testing, and ongoing improvements.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building automation that solves real problems, not just scripts that run in isolation.

At iSphere, we look for engineers who can take complex processes and simplify them through smart automation. If you've worked with Blue Prism and document-heavy workflows, this one will fit.
