Job Description

One of our automotive clients is looking for a Robotic Weld Technician for their operations in Markham, ON region.

Shift - Afternoon

Responsibilties

  • Diagnose, repair, and adjust robots (Fanuc & Motoman) and weld controllers using PLCs and HMIs.
  • Assist with equipment, component, and tooling changeovers.
  • Provide support to the production team for seamless operations, including setup, tool changes, and troubleshooting.
  • Modify welding schedules for MIG, Projection, and Spot welding on Medar, Lincoln, and Fronius weld controllers.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained to produce high-quality parts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949 standards.

Basic Requirements

  • A post-secondary diploma in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation from a technical college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Certified professionals (e.g., Electrician, Millwright, Machinist) are an asset.
  • Experience in Robotic MIG, Projection, and Spot welding.
  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Motoman & Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Capable of working independently and managing tasks effectively.
