Job Description

In this role, you'll help:

  • Support the prototyping and development of robotic ground vehicle platforms
  • Assist in the design and assembly of robotic hardware components including actuators, sensors, power systems, and mechanical structures
  • Build, test, and iterate on early prototypes alongside senior engineers
  • Integrate hardware components from partners under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with software engineers to support hardware and software integration
  • Troubleshoot and debug robotic systems and hardware components during development
  • Support the creation of build documentation and assembly instructions
  • Research emerging robotics technologies, sensors, and hardware innovations
  • Contribute to improvements in prototype performance, reliability, and scalability

What You Bring to the Team

  • Candidates must be actively pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or a related Engineering discipline
  • Graduates are welcome to apply if their degree aligns with these fields of study
  • Some hands-on experience working on robotic systems, whether in a lab, research group, robotics club, competition team, or personal project
  • Foundational understanding of robotic hardware and electromechanical systems
  • Exposure to sensors, motors, actuators, or robotic control systems (coursework or project-based is fine)
  • A passion for learning and rising to challenges
  • A positive attitude even when the team is under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Ability to work in a hands-on engineering environment

Extra Skills We Value

Familiarity with any of the following is a plus — but not required:

  • Microcontrollers and embedded platforms
  • Vehicle communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C)
  • Sensor integration including LiDAR, cameras, IMU, or GPS
  • Embedded systems development
  • Building or integrating robotic prototypes
  • ECAD tools like Altium, KiCad, or RapidHarness
  • C++, ROS2, or Linux OS

-This is an in office position

-Flexible schedule; full-time or part-time (at least 50%) during business hours.
