ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a global staffing and workforce solutions business headquartered in London, operating across permanent and temporary recruitment in professional services, technology, and engineering markets. With revenues of £3bn and a field sales force of over 1,500 across 20 countries, they are building a centralised Sales Strategy function to improve commercial productivity, territory management, and strategic prioritisation across the network.

THE ROLE

As Sales Strategy Manager, you will sit at the centre of the commercial organisation, providing the analytical muscle and strategic thinking that helps a large, decentralised sales force perform at its best. Working closely with the Chief Sales Officer and regional MD team, you will lead projects spanning sales territory design, incentive structure, market prioritisation, and commercial capability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead projects that improve sales force effectiveness, including territory design, capacity planning, and account prioritisation frameworks.
  • Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across regions, channels, and product lines.
  • Support the annual sales planning process, including target-setting, resource allocation, and incentive structure design.
  • Work with Sales Enablement to translate strategic insights into training, tooling, and process improvements for the field.
  • Prepare commercial strategy updates for the Chief Sales Officer and Group CEO, including competitive intelligence and market sizing.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 4–7 years of experience in sales strategy, commercial operations, or management consulting, with direct exposure to large sales organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable building commercial models, interpreting sales data, and designing incentive structures.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate complex analysis into practical recommendations for field sales leaders.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of how large B2B sales organisations operate.
  • Staffing, professional services, or enterprise software experience is an advantage.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary of £75,000 – £95,000, depending on experience.
  • Annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
  • Defined contribution pension and private health cover.
  • 27 days holiday and hybrid working from the London office.
