Scientist – Innovative Analytical Laboratory Role in Slough, UK

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality analytical testing and data analysis to support research and development initiatives.
  • Operate and maintain liquid handling instruments, chromatography systems, and capillary electrophoresis equipment with precision.
  • Conduct protein analysis and troubleshoot laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Document experimental procedures and results meticulously in compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive scientific projects forward.

Required Skills

  • Solid background in an analytical laboratory environment, with education in Biochemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology.
  • Experience with liquid handling instrumentation, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and protein analysis.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborative work and documentation.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Additional experience with mass spectrometry or other advanced analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of laboratory automation and data management systems.
  • Previous experience working in regulated environments such as GMP.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or research laboratory setting, ideally with relevant analytical techniques.

Other Requirements

  • Full-time on-site work in Slough for the duration of the 12-month contract.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.
