JOB SUMMARY

They are looking for an Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for leading aspects of the accounting function at the the Corporate entity that provides Shared Services to Brands in the Stagwell network.

Shared Services provides services to Brands for Accounting, Financial Operations (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll), Business Applications, IT and Real Estate.

The ideal candidate will perform management reporting functions for the Client while supporting various corporate and business initiatives. This person will report to the Stagwell Core Brand Accounting Manager and provide monthly financial results analysis to each head of Shared Services functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Balance sheet account reconciliation. Prepare general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions within the general ledger to ensure accuracy within the GL account.
  • Maintain Revenue recognition processes in addition to revenue, WIP and deferred revenue schedules.
  • Work with Staff Accountants to reconcile all bank accounts monthly.
  • Assist in aggregating and recording month end expense accruals.
  • Prepare month end journal entries.
  • Manage and reconcile all intercompany transactions.
  • Research and propose recommended solutions to open items on balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support month end ancillary package and hyperion trial balance uploads.
  • Serves as a back-up for various areas within the Shared Service Department
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Assist with Ad hoc requests as assigned.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc).
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Basic understanding of the technical aspects of account analyses and financial statements.
  • Must be able to reconcile accounts and be able to perform GL analysis.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience.
  • Basic Excel skills required (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent English Level.
  • Located in Latam.
