Our client, a prominent and reputable insurance provider, is actively seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their esteemed team in Miami, Florida, US . This role is crucial for assessing and managing financial risks associated with insurance products, ensuring the company's long-term solvency and profitability. You will leverage sophisticated modeling techniques, regulatory knowledge, and strategic thinking to provide critical insights that inform business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Perform complex actuarial analyses, including pricing, reserving, profitability studies, and financial forecasting for various insurance lines. Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models using advanced statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS). Analyze trends in claims, policyholder behavior, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities. Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles and industry standards. Collaborate with underwriters, product developers, and finance teams to provide actuarial support and recommendations. Evaluate the financial implications of new product developments and business strategies. Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques. Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior management and stakeholders. Mentor junior actuarial staff and contribute to their professional development. Conduct peer reviews of actuarial work to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards. Contribute to the development and enhancement of actuarial tools and methodologies. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Progress towards or attainment of Associate (ASA) or Fellow (FSA) designation from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on financial risk, pricing, or reserving. Proficiency in at least one major actuarial modeling software or programming language (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, Python, R, SQL, SAS). Strong understanding of insurance products, regulations, and financial markets. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Superior attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
