The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Quality Systems is responsible for establishing, deploying, and improving quality systems that support new product and manufacturing process development within advanced manufacturing environments. This is a technology focused role that defines, selects, and integrates technologies to maintain process capabilities and monitor system health. This person will collaborate with other disciplines in Advanced Manufacturing, New Product Development, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Quality Assurance teams. The engineer will monitor industry trends and technologies to help mature processes from development environments through pilot manufacturing and into production optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. As a Senior/Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer You Will: Coordinate and lead quality systems related projects and participate in multi-functional teams to craft, procure and qualify equipment and processes while maintaining project schedules and budget Perform quality systems installations, qualifications, capability studies, and gage R&R's for assembly and machining processes. Perform part inspection system programming applying both manual programming methods as well as applying 3D CAD models to generate programs in the simulated virtual environment. Lead and participate in the identification, design, development and implementation of new gauging methodologies and processes with a focus on improved accuracy, reliability, and reduced cost Provide training to other technical personnel of inspection systems and provide technical support in resolving issues that affect production. Self-initiate quality planning into early process development, tooling development, and manufacturing technology maturation. Align with all required safety and regulatory requirements Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Degree in Engineering Field (preferably Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Industrial Engineering) or (10+) years of relevant manufacturing work experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Use of 2D/3D CAD programs (AutoCAD, NX, or equivalent) Understanding of GD&T principles Ability to simultaneously drive/implement multiple quality systems projects Travel up to 25% Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to apply creative thinking to address sophisticated problems. Must be able to interpret technical drawings Experience making data-driven decisions Shown digital literacy including MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse work groups to facilitate knowledge sharing. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Collaboration skills to integrate with multiple levels of the organization Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing and its methodologies Proven understanding of Six-Sigma and its methodologies including MSA, PFEMA, & SPC Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or early-stage manufacturing development. Experience in PC-DMIS/MODUS CMM programming Experience integrating quality system in automated closed feedback loop systems Experience in database analytics reporting tools Theoretical and practical understanding of process control Ten (10) years' experience in manufacturing environment Onsite Work Arrangement: This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. Flexible Work Schedule - Core Hours This role has the flexibility of a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
