Role Overview:
We are looking for a visionary AI Algorithm Engineer to redefine wireless performance through machine learning. You will design, train, and deploy AI models for RAN optimization—such as beamforming, channel estimation, and traffic steering—and work closely with hardware teams to see your algorithms running on live FPGA prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Algorithm Innovation: Develop state-of-the-art AI/ML models (Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning) to solve complex RAN challenges like Massive MIMO, interference cancellation, or slicing.
- Model Optimization: Perform hardware-aware training, including pruning, clustering, and INT8/FP16 quantization tailored for FPGA/DSP deployment.
- End-to-End Simulation: Build link-level and system-level simulators in Python/PyTorch or MATLAB to validate AI gains against traditional signal processing methods.
- Demo Implementation: Lead the "End-to-End" demo logic—integrating real-world RF data, AI inference results, and visualization dashboards for prototype showcases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate mathematical models into fixed-point specifications for FPGA engineers and API requirements for software engineers.
- Research to Product: Stay abreast of 3GPP Release 18+ (AI/ML in NR) and O-RAN Alliance specifications to ensure the prototype remains industry-leading.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master’s in EE, CS, or related field with a focus on AI/ML or Wireless Communications.
- 6+ years of experience in AI algorithm development, preferably in a physical layer or networking context.
- Proficiency in PyTorch/TensorFlow and ONNX model deployment workflows.
- Solid understanding of 5G NR physical layer (OFDM, LDPC, MIMO) and radio resource management (RRM).
- Experience with AI compilers (e.g., Vitis AI) and deploying models on edge devices.
- Strong publication record or patent portfolio in AI-driven communications is a plus.
