Role Overview
The IAM Tools Engineering (ITE) team is seeking a Senior AI Test Engineer to lead quality engineering efforts for an AI-enabled, self-service identity platform. This is a hands-on senior role responsible for defining test strategy, building automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality delivery across complex distributed systems.
You will act as a trusted quality partner to product and engineering teams, while also mentoring offshore QA resources and driving modern automation practices aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
Must Have
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred) or similar modern frameworks for UI & API automation
- Ability to quickly adopt Playwright if experienced in equivalent tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end test strategy (functional, integration, API, UI)
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for:
- UI testing
- API testing
- Perform hands-on automation and manual testing for complex/high-risk scenarios
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Validate AI-driven capabilities, including:
- Data quality and integrity
- Model output consistency
- Chatbot/conversational AI (nice to have)
- Collaborate early with product and engineering teams to ensure testability and clear acceptance criteria
- Mentor and guide junior/offshore QA engineers
- Identify and mitigate quality and performance risks proactively
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software testing (web-based applications)
- Proven experience as a senior individual contributor owning quality end-to-end
- Strong expertise in:
- Manual testing
- UI & API automation
- Experience with:
- Playwright (preferred) or equivalent frameworks
- Selenium WebDriver
- C# programming
- BDD (Gherkin)
- CI/CD integration
- Strong understanding of:
- Functional, integration, system, E2E, and non-functional testing
- Experience with Git-based version control
- Strong collaboration skills across onshore/offshore teams

- Performance testing experience (load, stress, endurance)
- Tools: JMeter, BlazeMeter
- BDD tools: SpecFlow / Reqnroll
- Test management: ALM Octane
- Scalable execution tools: LambdaTest HyperExecute

- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (NLP, data systems)
