About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Controller, Region Asia South, you play an important role in analysing and reporting key financial data of Asia South to support the management decision making.

You interact with key stakeholders in Asia South Region i.e. Performance Cells, Supply Chain team, Information Technology, and the wider Borouge finance community. Responsibilities include reporting, business planning, forecasting and business cases from a financial perspective in Borouge. The Senior / Analyst, Financial supports Senior Controller, Region Asia South in driving various Finance projects and initiatives.

Monitoring and evaluating investment projects within the group to ensure alignment with the overall corporate investment process. Regular reporting of all investment developments and key projects to the Leadership Team.

This position is based in Singapore.

Key Accountabilities:

Controlling and Report

  • Collaborate in the month and closing activities: verification of the rebate and fixed costs accruals, preparation of the management reporting packages etc.
  • Performance analysis (Sales volume, Margin, Fixed costs and investments).
  • Provide support to the Senior Controller, Region Asia South in the preparation of business cases, Board documents, management reports and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Control of fixed costs.
  • Act as a backup for the Senior Controller, Region Asia South.

Business Planning and Forecasting

  • Provide support to the Senior Controller, Region Asia South in preparation, coordination and execution of the business plan process.
  • Manage the investment process for Borouge, ensuring alignment and compliance to the overall corporate investment process within Group Control.
  • Plan, forecast, and provide monthly reports on overall investment developments and key projects to the Senior Executive and Leadership Team.
  • Analyse and evaluate investment projects, reviewing and challenging requests to support decision-making.
  • Regularly liaise with Project Managers across the portfolio scope, to ensure all inputs are accurate and complete.

About You:

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting
  • A minimum of 6 years or more relevant experience
  • Good experience with SAP, Business Warehousing and Power BI is preferred
  • Good in collecting, analysing, presenting data and financial skills
  • Good communication skills; fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Meticulous and strong ability to organize, plan and prioritize
  • Ability to undertake reporting and documentation of information
  • Good problem-solving skills
