Senior Application Engineer/Assistant Application Manager/Manager (Inverter) (Ref: 37350)
Salary: S$4,500 - S$8,000
Our client is the regional headquarters of corporation, a global leader in industrial automation, motion control, robotics, and drive technology. The Application Engineer in Drives Division specializes in low voltage drives (VFD), inverters, and motion control solutions for industrial applications across Southeast Asia.

Reporting to: General Manager, Drives Division
Location: Singapore
Responsibilities
- Technical Pre & Post Sales Support (Drives / Inverters – VFD)
- Provide technical solutions for low voltage drives / variable frequency drives (VFD) / industrial inverters
- Perform drive selection, sizing and application matching
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) based on tender specifications
- Support sales team during technical discussions and customer visits
- Respond promptly to distributors' and end-users' technical enquiries
- Commissioning & Troubleshooting
- Perform on‑site commissioning of LV drives
- Conduct site troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
- Support application integration with PLC/motion control systems
- Provide hands‑on technical problem resolution
- Training & Market Support
- Conduct in‑house technical training for Sales & Marketing teams
- Deliver technical seminars and presentations to consultants and end‑users
- Prepare technical manuals, application notes, and documentation
- Maintain technical database and keep up‑to‑date with new product launches
- Conduct market study and provide product feedback
- Regional Technical Support
- Support joint customer visits in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam) when required
- Assist in regional distribution network expansion

Requirements & Preferences
Must
- Diploma in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Application Engineer providing pre and post‑sales technical solutions for inverters/drives
- Strong experience in site troubleshooting and LV drive commissioning
- Confident and experienced in organizing in‑house trainings for the Sales and Marketing team and provide trainings/ seminars at consultants'/end‑users' premises
- Able to compose a bill of materials based on tender specifications
- Candidates with only general electrical maintenance, building M&E, or power distribution experience without inverter/drive application exposure will not be suitable.
