Job Description

Job purpose:

Reporting to the Application Center Manager, you will focus providing Automation Support for Japan, with future opportunities to expand into other Phoenix Contact product lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be the expert on Automation related products and solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales or Business Development Team to conduct joint customer visits, site assessments, and technical presentations on the selection, installation, configuration, and operation of our electrical products.
  • Work closely with regional sales subsidiaries and assist with generating sales & marketing enablement collaterals not limited to demos, white papers, short videos etc.
  • Design and Develop Phoenix Contact product-mix solutions and systems with market-orientated value propositions to address market and customers’ demands, needs and pain points.
  • Provide timely accurate application and technical support to the region sales subsidiaries and customers for product related topics.
  • Conduct multi-tier product and solution training to different audience segments.
  • Support marketing activities in seminars, trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events, including designing and/or revamping of products static and active displays.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve individual, team and departmental objectives, sharing knowledge and skills as appropriate.

REQUIREMENT:

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation or related field).
  • Conversational proficiency in Japanese is required to support regional collaboration.
  • Experience and understanding of industrial networking (e.g., managed switches, VPN, Wi-Fi, interface converters) and/or automation (PLC, control, I/O’s)
  • Strong passion for automation systems and electrical products.
  • Good presentation skill and fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Proficient with Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem solver, customer-driven and results-oriented.
  • Organized, persistent, proactive and must be a good team player.
  • Willing to travel within short notice e.g. Training, Trade shows, etc.
