Senior Associate - Investment

Deal Evaluation

• Evaluate private equity investment opportunities in new and existing markets
• Assist with initial screening, financial analysis, and investment thesis development to support investment decisions (e.g. market, industry and competitive assessments)
• Build robust valuation models using target company’s key performance indicators, and analyse comparable companies and precedent transactions to support target company’s valuation
• Prepare investment memoranda to the internal Investment Committee

Transaction Execution

• Coordinate and manage due diligence processes across legal, accounting, tax, commercial, and operational workstreams
• Work closely with external advisors (investment banks, consultants, legal counsel, tax advisor) to drive diligence and execution timelines
• Support negotiation of transaction terms, financing structures, and purchase agreements
• Manage core deliverables across the deal process (e.g. investment memo, transaction documentation, and closing materials)

Portfolio Management

• Support in the management of portfolio companies, including implementation of post-investment operational enhancements and preparation of monthly/quarterly reports
• Analyse financial results, KPIs, and market trends; prepare portfolio review materials
• Support exit planning and execution, including evaluation of options and preparation of exit material

Stakeholder Interaction

• Contribute to Investment Committee materials and investors reporting packs

Qualifications &Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred)

Experience

• 5-10+years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields with focus on M&A

Technical Skills

• Advanced financial modelling and valuation expertise, including DCFs, LBOs, comparable companies and precedent transactions
• Preparing transaction materials and deliverables including but not limited to: teasers, pitchbooks and management presentation
• Completing legal documents such as NDAs with attorneys and other counterparties
• Strong understanding of capital structures, debt financing, and transaction mechanics
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to independently assist in complex workstreams and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Others

• Basic understanding in written and verbal Mongolian is preferred
