We are seeking an experienced Controls and Automation Engineer with a broad engineering skill set who can independently manage all aspects of process automation projects. This includes conceptual design, specifications, system integration, documentation, project implementation, testing, startup, and training of operations and maintenance personnel. You will work closely with a diverse team to develop solutions for complex automation challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or participate in projects involving the design, configuration, and testing of batch and continuous control systems .
Understand project scope, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate tasks with project leadership. Identify change orders and provide justification to ensure successful project completion.
Provide technical solutions and expert advice to project leadership and customers, prioritizing client satisfaction.
Adapt to flexible schedules and travel as needed to support control system development, installation, and commissioning.
Serve as a subject matter expert in automation systems and be a positive ambassador for the team and company values.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5+ years of hands‑on experience executing automation projects in industrial process environments, preferably in life sciences or regulated industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
Detail‑oriented with strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards related to instrumentation and controls (ISA S88, ISA S95, GAMP 5, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
Demonstrated experience developing control system applications using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, including configuration, database management, process historians, reporting tools, control loop tuning, system startup, troubleshooting, and validation.
Solid understanding of object‑oriented software principles and software delivery methodologies.
Expertise with virtual server‑based control system architectures and control system networks (Ethernet, Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet).
Hands‑on experience with process instrumentation specification, installation, troubleshooting, control panel design, commissioning, and complex system testing.
Ability to work at customer sites supporting installation, commissioning, and startup.

HMI Programming: Rockwell FTView ME/SE, Wonderware System Platform, Ignition
Batch Control: Wonderware InBatch, Rockwell FTBatch
Drives & Networking: Allen Bradley PowerFlex Drives, Stratix switches
Other control systems (desired): GE Fanuc, Siemens, DeltaV, Honeywell DCS, GE iFix
