Senior Automation & Controls Engineer 💰 Salary: $130,000 - 180,000 per year

📝 Rquirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, or computer science
- Over 5 years of experience in designing and commissioning automation and control systems for industrial settings
- Demonstrated expertise in process integration and experience with electromechanical or mechatronic systems
- Familiarity with various robotic welding applications (KUKA, ABB, & Fanuc)
- Proficient in robot and PLC simulation
- Experience utilizing National Instruments software and hardware
- Skilled in electrical schematic CAD, specifically EPlan
- Knowledgeable in programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, and/or SQL
- Proficient in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal and Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
- Experienced in HMI and SCADA programming
- Understanding of field bus networks, serial communication, and Ethernet communication
- Hands-on experience in building and commissioning high-quality electrical control panels and electromechanical systems
- Knowledgeable about NEC, NFPA 79, and UL508A codes
- Exposure to a wide range of production machinery and industrial sensors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable to fast-paced iterative design and manufacturing environments
- Capability to tackle complex problems with minimal supervision, both individually and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends to meet critical deadlines
👩💻👨💻 Your responsibilities are:
- Engage in initial equipment conceptualization, balancing product specifications, process demands, layout intricacy, budget, and lead-time restrictions
- Design new industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A standards and draft electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics
- Develop, write, and troubleshoot PLC code, focusing on organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable code for manufacturing uses
- Create robotic systems to facilitate the automated production of different vehicle sub-components
- Implement control systems for safety that adhere to ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA guidelines, protecting robots, gantries, conveyors, and other manufacturing apparatus
- Design user-friendly HMI screens for complex machines while ensuring adequate feedback for troubleshooting
- Oversee the assembly of electrical cabinets, field wiring, and pneumatic and fluid plumbing
- Select and size electrical and electromechanical components like servo motors and controllers
- Introduce automated processes and machinery into production lines
- Establish, implement, and uphold schedules and budgets to guarantee project success
