Job Description:
Are you looking to take your career to the next level in automation engineering? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Automation Engineer specializing in Industrial Controls. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement complex instrumentation and controls systems, working closely with clients to deliver effective and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and design instrumentation and control systems using advanced 3D and 4D drafting software.
- Prepare preliminary design reports and develop technical memoranda under limited supervision.
- Review shop drawings at various complexity levels and respond to requests for information (RFIs).
- Conduct field acceptance testing (FAT) and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead the testing and startup of instrumentation and control systems with a focus on documentation and quality assurance.
- Provide training for end users on the systems developed.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, reviewing their work to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Assist with proposal development and presentations to potential clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within 18 months of hire, if EIT is not available.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with P&IDs and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with control systems such as Rockwell, ABB, and Siemens.
- Expertise in programming software including Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Emerson Delta V, Honeywell Experion, FactoryTalk View, and Ignition Wonderware.
