Senior Automation QA Engineer - Selenium | Singapore, SG

We are seeking an experiencedSenior QA Enginee r with proven hands‑on experience in manual testing and basic to intermediate automation, usingSelenium as a tool. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of QA methodologies, test strategy, and defect management, along with the ability to design and execute test automation for critical workflows. This role requires someone who can work independently, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality software.

👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.

• Define test strategies for new features, enhancements, and regression cycles.

• Estimate testing efforts and contribute to sprint planning.

Manual Testing

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and exploratory testing.

• Validate UI/UX behavior, backend logic, APIs, and data flows.

• Identify, document, and track defects using industry standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Automation (Basic to Intermediate)

• Create and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke suites.

• Work with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Execute automated test suites and analyze results.

• Collaborate with automation engineers to enhance framework capabilities.

API Testing

• Perform API validation using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.

• Validate request/response payloads, status codes, and integration flows.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements.

• Participate in daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Provide clear and concise QA reports and quality metrics.

Quality Advocacy

• Promote best practices in testing and quality assurance.

• Identify process gaps and propose improvements.

• Mentor junior QA team members when needed.

🧙‍♂️ Your core competencies

• 8–10 years of professional QA experience

• Strong expertise in manual testing across web, mobile, or enterprise applications.

• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

• Good understanding of automation frameworks, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.

• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

• Experience with Banking domain will be an added advantage
