Senior Automation Testing Analyst

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, robustness, and security of platform releases. You will contribute to an automation-first testing strategy, incorporating modern frameworks and AI-assisted tooling to support high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in internal and stakeholder discussions to understand requirements, identify testing needs, and design comprehensive test scripts.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development and business teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with developers, product owners, and wider teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. Provide guidance on testing practices and tools.
- Product Insight: Develop a strong understanding of the product to ensure effective and meaningful test coverage.
- Automation Frameworks: Build and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing using modern tools such as Playwright, Rest Assured, and Postman.
- AI-Driven Testing: Implement AI-assisted testing solutions, including self-healing scripts and automated defect identification.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Performance & Security Testing: Support performance testing and security validation using industry-standard tools.
- Framework Modernisation: Contribute to the migration from legacy frameworks to modern automation solutions.
- Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure adherence to secure testing principles and industry standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior QA / Software Testing Engineer with strong automation expertise
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks (Playwright preferred; Selenium exposure beneficial)
- Strong API testing experience (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Solid understanding of testing principles across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing
- Experience working with cloud-based applications (Azure preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
