Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). This role is based in **Boston, Massachusetts, US**, and operates on a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the system-level design, integration, and validation of ADAS features, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and user experience. Responsibilities: Define system requirements for ADAS features, including perception, planning, and control functionalities. Design and architect integrated ADAS subsystems, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software components. Develop system-level validation plans and oversee testing activities to ensure ADAS features meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, algorithm developers, and safety engineers. Perform system integration and debugging, identifying and resolving complex technical issues. Utilize modeling and simulation tools to evaluate system performance and explore design trade-offs. Contribute to the development and refinement of automotive cybersecurity principles for ADAS. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ADAS technology, sensors, and automotive electronics. Document system designs, requirements, test procedures, and technical specifications. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions and knowledge sharing. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a strong focus on ADAS or autonomous driving technologies. Proven experience in system design, integration, and validation of complex automotive systems. In-depth knowledge of ADAS functionalities (e.g., ACC, AEB, LKA, parking assist). Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet). Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and system modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink). Understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, essential for a hybrid collaborative environment. Experience with sensor fusion techniques is a plus.
