Job Description

Our client, a pioneering automotive manufacturer, is looking for a talented Senior Automotive Systems Engineer specializing in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) to join their cutting-edge R&D center in Austin, Texas, US . This role is pivotal in shaping the future of autonomous and semi-autonomous driving technology. You will be responsible for the design, integration, and validation of complex ADAS features, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software components. Your expertise will be crucial in developing next-generation perception, planning, and control systems that enhance vehicle safety and driving experience. This includes working with sensors like cameras, radar, and lidar, as well as developing algorithms for object detection, tracking, and path planning. You will collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and testing teams to define system requirements, architectural designs, and interface specifications. A significant part of your work will involve system-level testing and validation, both in simulation and on-vehicle, to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. You will analyze test results, debug issues, and drive solutions to complex engineering challenges. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of automotive systems, control theory, signal processing, and embedded systems. Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and development tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++) is essential. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented engineer with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies and contribute to the development of vehicles that are safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable to drive. This hybrid role offers a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to leverage the best of both worlds.

Responsibilities: Define system requirements and architecture for ADAS features. Design and develop integrated ADAS solutions, including sensor fusion and control algorithms. Oversee the integration of hardware and software components for ADAS systems. Develop and execute test plans for system validation, including simulation and vehicle testing. Analyze system performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance. Contribute to the development of functional safety concepts and documentation. Stay current with emerging ADAS technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a focus on ADAS. Proven experience with ADAS sensors (camera, radar, lidar) and algorithms. Strong knowledge of control systems, signal processing, and embedded software development. Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools. Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet). Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
