Position: Senior Azure Data Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA - Hybrid - 3 days/Week

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

Seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable Azure-based data pipelines and lakehouse solutions for batch and real-time workloads. The role involves implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) using ADF, Databricks PySpark, Delta Lake, Azure SQL, and Unity Catalog to deliver reliable, SLA-driven datasets for Power BI reporting.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake
• Hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture and lakehouse concepts
• Expertise in ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental loads, CDC, data quality, and performance optimization
• Experience with Azure services: ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Event Hubs, Azure Monitor, Entra ID
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and SCD concepts
• Experience with CI/CD, Git integration, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions
• Understanding of Power BI datasets, refresh strategies, and semantic models

Nice to Have:

• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Pipelines)
• Real-time streaming with Event Hubs or Structured Streaming
• Executive reporting and analytics platform experience
