Senior BI and Analytics Engineer

A growing organization is building its data and analytics foundation from the ground up and is seeking a Senior BI / Analytics Engineer to help drive its modern ELT, data warehousing, and analytics initiative. This role blends expertise in dbt, Snowflake, Power BI, and modern ingestion tools to deliver clean, trusted, analytics-ready data and high-impact dashboards.

Semantic Layer & Data Modeling Develop and maintain the semantic layer supporting a variety of operational and executive dashboards. Create dimensional and subject-area models aligned with business needs (CRM, sales funnel, marketing lifecycle, call center performance, compliance, finance, etc.). Implement standardized KPIs, definitions, and calculation logic. Data Transformation & ELT Orchestration Build and refine dbt Cloud transformation models (staging, core, marts). Implement robust testing frameworks (schema, data, business logic). Manage dbt Cloud job scheduling and orchestration. Snowflake Configuration & Operation Configure and operate Snowflake warehouses, roles, resource monitors, and cost optimization measures. Set up and manage Snowflake connectors for HubSpot and Salesforce. Troubleshoot performance and ensure efficient ELT design. Ingestion (Fivetran) Configure Fivetran connectors to operational systems. Implement simple API-based ingestion as needed. Monitor connector health, schema drift, and incremental loads. Design, develop, and deliver dashboards that enable decision‑making across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Implement DAX components for advanced dashboard capabilities. Conduct user training and create documentation for successful adoption. Data Quality & Lineage Implement automated data quality checks, alerts, and monitoring. Maintain lineage across dbt, Snowflake, and integrated tools. Identify and resolve discrepancies across Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite/QuickBooks, 8x8, Velocify, Critical Mention, etc. Must Have 7+ years in dashboard development, BI engineering, and ELT-focused roles. Deep hands‑on experience with dbt (modeling, transformation, documentation, testing, scheduling). Strong Snowflake experience (warehouses, performance tuning, cost optimization, data shares/connectors). Proficiency with Power BI including semantic modeling, DAX, Dataflows, RLS, and governance best practices. Experience with Fivetran connectors and API-based ingestion. Strong SQL and dimensional modeling foundations. Experience with data discovery, cleansing, reconciliation, and modeling from systems including Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and call‑center platforms. Nice to Have Python, C# or other programming experience Experience with Azure data components, functions, API gateway Background in financial services or compliance-focused environments Familiarity with Power BI administration
