Senior Blockchain Developer

Our client, a pioneering force in the decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 space, is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Blockchain Developer to join their innovative team in London, England, UK . This role demands a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract development, and distributed ledger technologies. You will be instrumental in building secure, scalable, and cutting-edge decentralized applications (dApps) and contributing to the evolution of blockchain technology.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polygon). Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and their backend infrastructure. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features and protocols. Implement robust security measures and conduct thorough code audits to prevent vulnerabilities. Integrate blockchain technology with existing systems and external APIs. Stay at the forefront of blockchain technology advancements, evaluating new protocols, tools, and methodologies. Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical roadmap of blockchain projects. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth. Engage with the blockchain community and contribute to open-source projects where applicable. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on blockchain development. Proficiency in smart contract programming languages such as Solidity, Rust, or Vyper. Experience with popular blockchain frameworks and libraries (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat, Web3.js, Ethers.js). Deep understanding of blockchain concepts, including consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and distributed systems. Experience with token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.) and DeFi protocols. Familiarity with various blockchain platforms and their respective ecosystems. Experience with security best practices for smart contracts and dApps. Proficiency in backend development languages (e.g., Node.js, Go, Python). Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions is a significant advantage. Contributions to public blockchain projects or a strong GitHub profile are highly valued.
